The Situation
OK is Denmark’s largest chain of gas stations as well as supplying homeowners and businesses with oil, biogas, natural gas and electricity. Their customer segment includes industrial and agricultural businesses and private car owners and homeowners. In 2004 they began a co-operation with Guava that still exists today. OK needed:
• An increase in search engine coverage for all their websites.
Our Solution
Firstly we identified some technical barriers that were potentially impeding the website’s search engine performance. After this, an intensive co-operation focusing on the optimization of the most important sites and keywords took shape.
As OK runs a large number of gas stations spread evenly across the country, one of the challenges was to put together a solution that took into account OK’s geographical coverage. We turned this into a favourable asset by positioning www.ok.dk in the search engines through a custom-made portal solution.
The Results
OK’s sites steadily rose into the top 10 in all of Denmark’s major search engines. Today many of these sites hold a position of either first or second in these listings.
Following the positive results, OK chose to extend their relationship with Guava, asking us to create a PPC campaign for them.
