Time-saving solution for Hi-Fi Klubben
How we helped Hi-Fi Klubben to utilize their online customer subscriptions and develop their online event management techniques.

The situation
Hi-Fi Klubben is a hi-fi specialist with 70 stores throughout Scandinavia. One of the tools utilized by Hi-Fi Klubben in order to maintain their healthy market position is professional email marketing. The company also arranges product-related events such as “Flat Screens for Beginners” in order to create publicity and bring people into the stores. In mid-2004, Hi-Fi Klubben introduced a new online event initiative, called Customer’s Clubs. They needed:
• To send out monthly email newsletters to roughly 200,000 subscribers with details of the new initiative.
• To control the subsequent replies from subscribers.
• To be resourceful in terms of the time and energy spent on the event.
Our Solution
Guava’s online solutions for event management were incorporated with the management and administrative tasks needed to control the campaign efficiently. Specific tasks related to event enrolment, cancellation of event enrolment, oversubscription, waiting lists and the sending of reminder text messages and emails. Each newsletter also contained product information to attract direct website traffic from potential customers.
This combined solution allowed Hi-Fi Klubben’s Scandinavian webmaster to not only administer 4 to 5 customer events per year for all 70 stores, but also organize many other tasks in a way that was easily manageable.
The Results
The feedback on the customer events from the participants was very positive. Furthermore, events for all 70 stores were able to be controlled in one system by just one employee.
