Our history

Notabene.net was founded in 1998, and right from the beginning the company came to play a leading role in digital marketing

In January 2004, Brian Mertz Pedersen established Danmark Online Inc., who went to acquire Notabene.net during February 2005. Following this, an ambitious strategy plan for the company was laid out. This included becoming the leading full-service agency on the Northern European markets within three years, listing the company’s shares on the stock exchange, and reaching a turnover of at least 250 million DKK. This was to be achieved through organic growth and buy-ups.

The company was first registered at First North under the Copenhagen Stock Exchange in May, 2006. Since then, it has grown from 26 employees to 212 employees and from a market cap of 70 million DKK to 500 million DKK. The company’s turnover has risen from 18 million DKK to 275 million DKK as of the current financial year. Furthermore, the company has aquired 14 companies and activities, all of which are specialised within specific areas of online marketing.

Below the list of the companies that have been acquired since our shares were listed on the Stock Exchange, registered as First North on the 8th of May 2006, at the time by the name Notabene.net, now replaced by Guava.
